1- Blow … up=دمیدن هوا – چیزی را باد کردن

2- Blow…. up = بزرگ کردن عکس

3- Blow up at/over = ناگهان عصبانی شدن از دست کسی

4- Catch on = مد شدن – بازار یافتن

5- Catch on = از حقه و کلک کسی سر در آوردن

6- Fall behind = عقب افتادن از گروه به هنگام حرکت کردن و یا رانندگی

3- One’s heart is in one’s mouth = ترسیدن – اضطراب داشتن
4- Wash one’s hand of = دست از کاری شستن – کاری را قبول نکردن
5- In the klink = توی زندان – توی هلفدونی
6- Blab = زیادی حرف زدن – وراجی کردن – لب تر کردن
7- Out on a limb = رو شدن دست – گیر افتادن – لو رفتن – در وضعیت بدی بودن
8- Stick one’s neck out = دنبال دردسر گشتن

Rob: My heart is in my mouth.
Mike: You’d better wash your hands of this affair before you’re put in the klink.
Rob: You’re right. If he blabs, I’m out on a limb.
